All new units shipped from February 2nd 2009, will feature the following amount of memory. Please also note the change in the revision number:

• ASG110/120 rev.3: 1 GB
• ASG220 rev.3: 1 GB
• ASG320 rev.2: 2 GB

Additionally, we will also provide a Field Memory Upgrade Kit, which enables the enhancement of existing field units (i.e. units already positioned with the end customer, reseller or distributor) that have less than 1 GB installed.

Upgrade kits will be available at the following list prices. The listed serial numbers should be used to identify the correct unit type and revision:

The upgrade kit will include a RAM module with installation instructions and will be sold through our channel as a regular Astaro product. The upgrade can be performed either by the end customer or by an Astaro partner. The Astaro warranty will not be affected.

Finally, we will also offer an Appliance Upgrade Program, allowing the exchange of the following older units, which cannot be upgraded in the field, for a new ASG rev.3 unit:

When ordering these units, customers/partners are required to provide the serial number of the unit which should be replaced. After successful validation of the serial number via the Astaro order management, the new unit will be delivered. No new license will be delivered as the previous one can be used with the new appliance.

The end customer does not have to send the old unit back as the serial number will be disabled by Astaro. Furthermore, the end customer can choose to either care for the correct disposal of the old unit on his own (according to regional egislation) or send the unit back to Astaro at his own expense.

Please note that all units will be sent out with the latest ASG V7 image installed. ASG V6 software will not be supported on upgraded units.
