Readers Choose Astaro VPN Client

Astaro VPN Client voted WindowSecurity.com Readers' Choice Award Winner.

December 02, 2008 (Wilmington, MA) – Astaro Corporation (www.astaro.com), leading network security provider, today announced that its SSL VPN Client was voted second runner-up in the VPN category of the WindowSecurity.com Readers' Choice Awards. WindowSecurity.com conducts monthly polls to discover which product is preferred by Network Security administrators in a particular category of third party network security solutions. The awards draw a huge response per category and are based entirely on the visitors’ votes.

"Astaro has been getting a lot of attention for the performance of its SSL client platform and its ability to adapt to growing enterprise demands," explains Astaro CEO Jan Hichert. "Users have also been happy with the fact that Astaro's technology allows them the ability to access network resources and applications from anywhere on the Internet, rather than a web-based VPN solution that is limited to applications and services that can be seen on a web page."

Sean Buttigieg, WindowSecurity.com manager, says "Our Readers' Choice Awards give visitors to our site the opportunity to vote for the products they view as the very best in their respective category. WindowSecurity.com users are specialists in their field who encounter various network security solutions at the workplace. The award serves as a mark of excellence, providing the ultimate recognition from peers within the industry."

Astaro's SSL VPN Client was also recently recognized by research firm Frost & Sullivan with the 2008 North American Technology Innovation of the Year award.
